THE EMPLOYER IS: BLACKIE RIVER COMMUNITY GROUPS The gardener/grounds person will be responsible for taking care of the outside areas around the building. The duties will include cleaning/power hosing performing simple repairs and maintenance tasks and performing health & safety checks for the gardens and play park.

Responsibilities

• Performing a daily visual checklist building, paying close attention to safety & cleanliness.
• Performing basic cleaning duties such as removing litter, leaves and debris.
• Keeping the fire escape exits clear and free from obstruction.
• Weeding, pruning and general upkeep of the low maintenance plants/shrubs.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Ability to complete paperwork & maintain records for annual inspections.
• Organisational and multi-tasking skills.
• Be able to work with others as well as using own initiative.
• Adhering to all policies and procedures within the Blackie River Centre.
