Job description

Floating Support Worker required to cover Western Health and Social Care Trust. Office base in Derry. Note: Personal care is not required for this post.

Responsibilities

• Providing a Floating Support Service to people who have a Physical Disability/Physical Health Issue or brain injury who require housing support.
• Support and develop the service users capacity to live independently and maintain their tenancy in the geographical area of the Southern Health and Social Care Trust.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• RQF level 2 Qualification, or equivalent (QCF, NVQ etc.)
• Minimum of 1 year’s paid and/or voluntary experience of providing support services to people with disabilities and/or other vulnerable individuals.
• Knowledge of the effects of disability and/or other vulnerable groups.
• Good communication & interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in IT skills, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.

Further Information

Salary starting on £27,694 per annum (pro rata). Location - Regional Role - Western Health and Social Care Trust.
