Job description
Reporting directly to the Housing Policy Manager or the Housing Information and Tenancies Manager, the Assistant Principal Officer will provide detailed functional and assurance-related support in the development and delivery of a number of strands relating to Housing Services in the area of Housing Policy, Information and Tenancies.
Responsibilities
- The Assistant Principal Officer will assist in the delivery of agreed objectives and projects associated with Housing Services work involving Housing Policy / Housing Information and Tenancies.
- Managing, leading, mentoring and supporting staff to deliver the business objectives of the relevant Policy team and wider Landlord Housing Services.
- Specifying, developing and testing of controls, reports and dashboards designed to aid staff in compliance and service delivery.
- Drafting ET and Board Papers, PRG reports, responses to Assembly Questions, Freedom of Information requests and ad hoc queries.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Hold a degree level qualification (level 6) or equivalent AND have a minimum of 2 years experience working in a policy development, customer service or assurance environment OR
- Hold a level 5 qualification in Housing AND have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a policy development, customer service or assurance environment OR
- Can demonstrate equivalent continuing professional development or experiential learning AND have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a policy development, customer service or assurance environment.
