We are seeking a reliable and skilled Service Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe operation of a vacuum truck to empty, clean, and transport portable chemical toilets at various sites. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial driving practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle various types of vehicles. Full Training provided.

Responsibilities

• Operate vehicles in a safe and responsible manner while adhering to all road safety regulations. Operate a vacuum pump for emptying and cleaning portable toilets. Perform scheduled servicing of chemical toilets.

• Perform scheduled servicing of chemical toilets, including refilling with water and chemical solutions.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Maintain accurate records of servicing.
• Communicate effectively with staff at head office and customers regarding servicing and any potential issues.
• Assist in loading and unloading goods from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
• Utilise mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance on the vehicle as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to optimise servicing routes and improve efficiency.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Valid driving licence up to 3.5t.
• Previous experience as a delivery driver is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients.
• Good Geographical Knowledge would be an advantage.
• Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail for record keeping.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Occasional overtime required to meet industry demands.
