Business Support Officer


Job description

The main function of the Business Support Officer role is to provide cross-functional support across finance, reporting, and supplier support to ensure smooth and efficient business processes. This includes: Managing financial tasks like invoicing and budget tracking. Preparing performance and financial reports. The role is designed to enhance operational efficiency and support decision-making through accurate data handling and customer-focused service.

Responsibilities

  • Support and work with colleagues and associates to ensure that all billable & payable sessions have been accurately recorded on the information management system.
  • Assist with forecasting and data analysis against budget on a weekly and/ or monthly basis as appropriate.
  • Assist with the preparation of internal Lena reports (e.g. activity reports and strategy reports) on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis, as appropriate.
  • Assist the Clinical Support Officer in ensuring that the client, associate and venue information on the information management system is kept up-to-date.
  • Act as an invoice Pre-Authoriser for appropriate cost centres on the Integra finance accounting software package.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • To be flexible as the role may involve working at various locations.
  • A minimum of a Level 3 (or equivalent) qualification in Business Administration or a business related subject.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an administrative role where relationship building was a focus.
  • Experience and working knowledge of Microsoft Office, to include Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Strong communication skills and experience of dealing with customer and / supplier queries.
  • Experience of maintaining accurate financial / sales records, data analysis and preparation of accurate reports.
  • Organisational skills, with the ability to manage and prioritise workload to ensure effective and timely outcomes.
