We are recruiting for Support Workers to provide support to students with disabilities, medical conditions, mental health difficulties and specific learning difficulties.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to students with disabilities, medical conditions, mental health difficulties and specific learning difficulties through their learning journey and in accordance with agreed procedures.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Have at least a Level 3 qualification in any discipline
• Criteria 2 - Have GCSE English (Grade C or above) or Essential Skills Level 2 (or higher) in Communication, or any qualifications which are deemed to be equivalent;
• Or, Have GCSE Maths (Grade C or above) or Essential Skills Level 2 (or higher) in Numeracy, or NICATS Access Maths Module, or any qualifications which are deemed to be equivalent
• If you DO NOT meet Criteria 2a - Have at least one years relevant experience providing support to learners in a formal environment.

Further Information

The College are recruiting for term-time Support Workers for part-time posts of up to 16 hours per week that are arising across our campuses in Derry-Londonderry, Limavady and Strabane. Candidates who are successful at interview will be placed on a reserve list/panel and contacted if and when work becomes available. Salary: £24,790 - £25,183 per annum, pro rata (£13.20 - £13.41 per hour).
