THE EMPLOYER IS: WIRED/DIFFERENT The Marketing and Content Creator will support the development and promotion of Wired Different - an online community and creative space for neurodiverse young people aged 16 and over. This role involves creating engaging, accessible content across digital platforms, promoting workshops and community sessions, and helping to grow Wired Different’s online presence. The ideal candidate will be creative, tech-savvy, and passionate about inclusion and mental wellbeing.

Responsibilities

  • Develop creative content (graphics, posts, reels, blogs, videos) that reflects the voice and values of Wired Different.
  • Produce visual and written materials that promote upcoming sessions, community stories, and awareness campaigns.
  • Use Canva, Adobe Express, or similar design tools to create inclusive, accessible media.
  • Support the scheduling and posting of content across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
  • Engage with followers, respond to messages, and help build an active, supportive online community.
  • Contribute ideas for creative campaigns around key awareness events (e.g. ADHD Awareness Month, Mental Health Week).
  • Coordinate and promote online events, workshops, and youth activities.
  • Help produce monthly newsletters and email updates for members and partners.
  • Attend or support in-person events, helping to capture photos, short videos, and social media updates.
  • Promote Wired Different’s work in the community through engaging storytelling and visuals.
  • Carry out reasonable additional tasks in line with the needs of the organisation and support the wider Wired Different team when needed.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Ability to create visual and written content using Canva, Adobe Express, or similar tools.
  • Understanding of accessibility features (alt text, captions, font contrast).
  • Skilled in managing content calendars and scheduling posts through tools such as Meta Business Suite, Later, or Buffer.
  • Understanding of how to adapt tone and visuals for different audiences and platforms.
  • Understand and apply Wired Different’s tone of voice, colours, and messaging across all channels.
  • Ability to tell authentic, uplifting stories that align with neuroaffirming values.

Desirable Skills

  • Previous experience creating content for youth, wellbeing, or inclusion-focused organisations.
  • Understanding of neurodivergent communication styles and how to create safe, inclusive online spaces.

The Employer is: WIRED/DIFFERENT JobStart Opportunity - Working Hours Information - Standard Hours: up to 25 hours per week. - Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach. - Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability.
