Office Administrator
Job description
THE EMPLOYER IS: AMC TRAINING & CONSULTANCY LTD To provide comprehensive administrative, organisational, and executive support across training delivery and business operations, ensuring the smooth and professional running of the company. The postholder will act as a central point of coordination, enabling trainers, learners, clients, and senior management to operate efficiently and in compliance with quality, safety, and industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate all aspects of training delivery, including booking venues, arranging equipment, preparing materials, and issuing joining instructions.
- Manage learner registers, attendance records, assessments, and certification processes.
- Maintain accurate training records and ensure systems are updated in a timely manner.
- Liaise with trainers, learners, and clients to ensure smooth course logistics and resolve issues promptly.
- Provide direct administrative support to the Managing Director, including diary management, scheduling meetings, and organising travel.
- Track progress on projects, follow up on agreed actions, and maintain oversight of key deadlines.
- Maintain organised filing systems (digital and physical), ensuring records are accurate, secure, and accessible.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying process efficiencies and assisting in the development of administrative procedures.
- Provide ad-hoc project support, including research, drafting documents, and coordinating stakeholder engagement.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Excellent organisational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritise workload.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with professional telephone and email etiquette.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in record-keeping and document preparation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and confidence with digital systems.
- Discreet and trustworthy, with the ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
- Proactive and adaptable, able to work independently and as part of a small, fast-paced team.
Desirable Skills
- Experience working in training, education, or a regulated industry.
- Familiarity with quality assurance systems, awarding body standards, or compliance frameworks.
- Previous experience in providing executive-level administrative support.
