Job description

THE EMPLOYER IS: HOME AND WORK LTD Garden Solutions designs and builds high-quality garden rooms and outdoor structures - ranging from standard Home Office Pods (HOPs) to fully bespoke garden offices, meeting pods, pergolas, decking, and full garden transformations. Convert inbound enquiries into booked on-site consultations with our lead designer and maintain momentum through to agreement and deposit. When inbound volume is light, run simple B2B outreach and support basic organic social activity.

Responsibilities

  • Lead response & qualification: Call new enquiries, understand need.
  • Product positioning: Give a concise, accurate overview of HOPs and bespoke garden rooms.
  • Appointment setting: Book and confirm on-site visits.
  • Follow-up to close: Contact customers 48-72 hours after the visit, answer questions.
  • Pipeline admin: Keep clean, timely notes about customers, offers and products.
  • Re-engagement & outreach: Revisit past leads with updates/offers; send targeted B2B emails and follow with calls.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Excellent telephone communication and professional tone.
  • Active listening and concise information capture.
  • Lead qualification (assess needs, budget, timing, decision-makers).
  • Appointment setting & diary management (offer options, confirm details).
  • Objection handling with a calm, consultative approach.
  • Follow-up discipline and consistent pipeline management.
  • Clear written communication (brief, accurate emails/messages).
  • Time management and ability to work independently.
  • Basic IT proficiency (Google Sheets/Docs/Calendar).
  • Integrity & customer focus.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience in inside sales/appointment setting.
  • Familiarity with home improvement/outdoor products.
  • Basic B2B outreach (email and follow-up calls).
  • Light social media literacy for simple organic posts.
