Arts & Cultural Administration Support Worker
Job description
THE EMPLOYER IS: GASYARD DEVELOPMENT TRUST The Admin Support Workers will play a key role in supporting the administrative functions of the arts and cultural programmes and ensuring inclusive, accessible support for autistic young people, older people and families attending the Gasyard's programme of activities. This position requires excellent organisational skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced community environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative assistance to the Arts & Cultural Programme Co-ordinators, including managing schedules, organising meetings, and preparing documents.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records for all arts and cultural programme activities.
- Organise and manage physical and digital filing systems.
- Respond to enquiries via phone, email, and in person, ensuring a professional and welcoming approach.
- Track and manage supplies for programme activities and office needs.
- Assist participants during workshops and activities in collaboration with the Arts & Cultural Programme Coordinators.
- Help create tailored resources and activities that meet the needs of individual.
- Contribute to an inclusive environment where participants feel welcomed and supported.
- Act as a communication link between participants, families, and programme staff when required.
- Assist in planning and organising community, arts and cultural events.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations of the centre’s programmes.
- Uphold the values of inclusion, creativity, and community in all interactions.
- Demonstrate commitment to ongoing learning and development, and to participate in any meeting or training identified by the manager.
- A commitment to equal opportunities.

- Compliance with centre H&S policies.
- Undertake promotional activities on behalf of the organisation.
- Update and maintain your knowledge of the sector.
- Undertake professional and relevant training as required.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Basic knowledge of IT and Microsoft office skills.
- Maths and English GCSE or equivalent.
- Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills both written and oral.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to organise workload and work under pressure.
- Flexible.
Desirable Skills
- Understanding of the community and voluntary sector.
