To provide administrative support to the primary care team. All staff in the practice will be expected to ensure and maintain confidentiality at all times.
Responsibilities
- Answering telephone calls, making appointments, processing medication requests and all general enquiries.
- Liaising with all clinical staff.
- Navigating patients appropriately.
- Processing incoming mail and allocating to correct member of staff appropriately.
- Any other duties within the grade.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- 4 GCSE’s (Grade A-C) to include English Language and Maths plus 2 years administrative experience to include telephone and face to face contact within a General Practice or related environment i.e. hospital setting.
- Or NVQ Level II in administration plus 2 years administrative experience to include telephone and face to face contact within a General Practice or related environment i.e. hospital setting.
- Applicants must be computer literate in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and various other IT programmes.
Desirable Skills
- Experience of EMIS General Practice Clinical System.
Further Information
Flexibility of working hours/able to work at the desired times between Monday to Friday 8.30am to 6.00pm.
