Job description

Responsible for the safe and effective delivery of care and services in line with legislative requirements, RQIA standards and guidelines and company policy and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day to day running of services in conjunction with locality manager and Registered Provider.
• Manage the safety and quality of services
• The effective and efficient management of resources.
• Undertake training and development to keep up to date with best practice, changes and new initiatives.
• Monitor and report on Quality and Performance matters.
• Apply this knowledge to day to day management and delivery of care and services.
• Act as lead for infection prevention and control.
• Understand and monitor health and safety in the workplace.
• Maintain full and accurate records and reporting systems in accordance with legal requirement and to ensure the effective running of services.
• Implement quality management and improvement systems.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• A level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care Services (QCS) (Adult Management) and registered or be eligible for registration.
• A first level registered nurse on the appropriate NMC Council.

Desirable Skills

• A minimum of five years work experience in any health and social care setting with at least one year in a residential and supported living setting for people with a Learning Disability with two years in a relevant supervisory/managerial role.
