Trauma Aide Band 3
Job description
Dundonald, Ulster Hospital, Main Building. The post holder is required to assist in the provision of safe, effective person-centred, compassionate care. Support the Trauma Coordinator in coordinating the activity of adult and paediatric trauma patients within the Trauma unit. Contribute to the delivery of patient care by performing a range or direct clinical care activities as defined by the Trauma Coordinator and/or Ward Sister. The post holder must ensure that all information regarding patients is kept in strict confidence. The post holder will adhere to the Trust Behaviours.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine investigations such as venepuncture and ECG recording.
- Assist in preparation of bed space when required.

Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Hold NVQ/VRQ/QCF level 3 Certificate in Health/Health & Social Care or equivalent qualification

Desirable Skills
- Experience of working in trauma & orthopaedics setting.
- Working knowledge of computer software packages e.g. Microsoft word and Excel.
