Supply Chain Coordinator
Job description
The Supply Chain Coordinator will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and managing workflow through the Precast Floor and Stairs manufacturing departments. This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth coordination between Design, Production, Despatch, Logistics, and Contract Management teams to deliver projects efficiently and on time to customers.
Responsibilities
- Planning & Scheduling.
- Act as the primary user of the Precast planning system, responsible for all load building and production planning activities.
- Oversee the overall despatch schedule, establishing sequence and lead times for each operation to meet customer requirements.
- Liaise closely with the Design, Operations, and Despatch teams to ensure workflow alignment.
- Communicate effectively with the Mannok Precast site, Contracts Managers, and clients to ensure installation and despatch schedules are aligned.
- Order & Logistics Management.
- Coordinate with Sales, Production, Contracts Managers, Admin, and Finance to ensure orders are processed, manufactured, and invoiced accurately and on time.
- Plan and schedule the loading and shipment of goods to the UK and ROI, including preparation of MRNs for exports.
- Work closely with haulage companies to ensure timely deliveries and resolve transport issues as they arise.
- Plan and coordinate fitting works in ROI, including the booking of fitters, transport, and crane hire as required.
- Inventory & Data Management.
- Ensure production planning aligns with on-site dates to avoid early manufacture and yard congestion.
- Support production planning to ensure on-time deliveries.
- Capture and analyse key performance data (e.g. fitting days, haulage costs, project profitability) using the Precast Platform system.
- Compare rates and performance of external service providers (e.g. hauliers, crane hire companies).
- Act as a key point of contact between all internal teams (Production, Contracts, Finance, Fitting Crews, Drivers) and external partners.
- Resolve customer queries and issues promptly and professionally.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Strong planning, numerical, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficient in IT systems and data analysis.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in logistics, production planning, or supply chain coordination (manufacturing or construction industry desirable).
- Ability to interpret and understand construction drawings and related terminology (advantageous).
