Events Support Worker
Job description
THE EMPLOYER IS: IN YOUR SPACE LTD (IYSC) This role is a combination of administrative and hands on duties. In this role you will be mainly office based and provide support to Senior management team, particularly the Creative Director & Assistant Producer. Your working pattern may change week to week depending on your skills, areas of development and areas of interest. If you are applying for this role, you should be able to commit to working some evenings and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Using information technology to support general admin and planning support.
- Attend various meetings where required.
- Assist with general duties with running a busy office.
- Liaising with artists, team members and clients where appropriate.
- Support the creation and maintenance of props and costume.
- Support planning, running and evaluation of projects and events.
- Assisting with project and event marketing and promotion where relevant, this includes creating content for IYSC’s social media platforms.
- Attending events across Northern Ireland and Donegal where appropriate to support the above tasks.
- Identify and complete relevant training opportunities.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Experience of working with a range of organisations and individuals.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Good administrative skills including information technology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines as required
- Be a dynamic team player with willingness to take direction but also a high level of initiative.
- Ability to meet the physical demand of the role.
Desirable Skills
- Experience of working on events.
- Creative instincts in terms of costume, props, and site dressing.
- Creativity and an innovative approach to projects and event work.
- Knowledge around safeguarding policy.
- Able to drive and access to own car.
