We are creating a waiting list for Residential Childcare Worker opportunities within our Residential Short Break Services for Children with Disabilities. We have exciting opportunities for Residential Childcare Workers within our Residential Short Break Services for Children with Disabilities. Where You'll Work: The Whistlestop Service, Randalstown. Providing short breaks for children and young people with disabilities within the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on, compassionate care and support to children and young people during their short stays.
• Help create a fun, engaging, and supportive environment where every child thrives.
• Work as part of a dedicated and dynamic team, committed to excellence in care.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Experience of working with children and young people (does not have to be gained in a formal employment setting).
• Experience of keeping records/daily notes or contributing to reports.
• Experience of working within safeguarding policy and procedures.
• A valid driving licence or alternatively be able to demonstrate how you can meet the mobility requirements of the post

Desirable Skills

• Level 3 qualification or above in a childcare/healthcare/social science related subject.
• Experience of working with children and young people living with a disability.
• Experience of working in a residential setting.
