Trainee Bid Management Executive


Job description

THE EMPLOYER IS: JCR NETWORK SERVICES LIMITED The trainee bid management executive will support the company team in managing complex tendering and bid management processes for clients across the Island of Ireland. They will enjoy working in a fast paced and demanding environment where deadlines and KPI management and reporting are a constant feature of operations. They will thrive in a fast-paced multi-project environment, dealing with evolving client demands and objectives. They will learn how to navigate all the main online tendering platforms used by clients in preparing and submitting their bids.

Responsibilities

  • CRM management - learning to use job specific IT programmes, e.g., Microsoft 365 Professional, Zoom, MS Teams and CRM database management for project tracking, prospecting, client onboarding and KPI management.
  • Project management - they will be trained on how to manage online tendering processes from initiation through to guiding clients on navigating and using the main UK and Ireland online tendering portals for tender upload and submission.
  • Bid review/tender document preparation - the trainee will learn to work effectively as part of a team and develop the skills required for effective multi-stakeholder engagement and management for satisfactory project outcomes.
  • Social media support - the trainee will utilise their knowledge to exploit the companies digital marketing tools such as LinkedIn, Facebook; Instagram and their website for content development and upload of topical posts to boost brand visibility.
  • B2B prospecting - the trainee will acquire effective client communication skills within the business development process and learn how to customise and deploy B2B marketing content for client engagement.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • IT literacy (MS word, Excel, PowerPoint) plus GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent level).
  • CRM systems - customer database management.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively within teams (internal and external).
  • Excellent verbal communication and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of the main B2B social media platforms and how to use them (LinkedIn).
  • Time management and ability to work to deadlines.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience of B2B sales roles-demonstrated commercial acumen.
  • Experience of using main of tendering and public procurement platforms.
  • Project management experience.
