Job description

Responsible for the assessment , planning, implementation and evaluation of care in the Nursing Home. Assist in ensuring that all care, treatment and therapies are adequate and appropriate to the needs of the Residents. Ensure that all Residents care is of a high standard. The Staff Nurse will be expected to take charge as and when required in the absence of the Home Manager.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all company policies and procedures. Co-operate and work in conjunction with other staff, professionals, and agencies providing services and to facilitate a high standard of resident care.
• Ensure equipment is clean and well maintained.
• Assist in maintaining good systems of communication. Administer prescribed medications and document same.
• Maintain all requisite records.
• Prepare and receive reports.
• To assist with the admission and discharge procedure of residents.
• Responsibility for assisting in the supervision of other care staff employed.
