Caretaker
Job description
THE EMPLOYER IS: CREGGAN NEIGHBOURHOOD PARTNERSHIP Ensure Creggan Neighbourhood Partnership is clean, safe, secure, and well-maintained for all users. The caretaker will support the wider team in the daily operations of the building, assists with room set-ups, carries out basic maintenance, and helps create a welcoming environment for the community.
Responsibilities
- Keyholder - opening and locking of centre.
- General cleaning duties.
- Daily health & safety centre checks and adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Set up of facilities for onsite programmes.
- Completing general documentation recording checks.
- Record keeping.
- Assisting with other responsibilities within the building when required.
- Maintain upkeep of building and stock replenishment.
- Assisting members of the community with any enquiries.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, minor repairs, and general grounds maintenance.
- Ensure that all facilities are in good condition and address any issues promptly.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Basic maintenance skills - performing minor repairs and general upkeep.
- Communication skills - reporting larger maintenance issues clearly.
- Teamwork and collaboration - working effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
- Health and safety awareness - knowing and following correct procedures and safety guidelines.
- Good organisational skills.
Desirable Skills
- An openness to work evenings and weekends when needed.
