Job description

To improve the overall well-being and quality of life our residents through engaging and meaningful activities. Plan and organize a variety of therapeutic activities, including arts and crafts, music and dance, sports and games. Adapt activities to meet the unique needs and abilities of our residents. Lead and facilitate group therapy sessions, encouraging participation, fostering a supportive environment, and promoting social interaction and communication among participants. Regularly assess and document clients' progress, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records. Modify treatment plans as necessary and communicate progress to the interdisciplinary team and the client's family. Temporary position to cover staff absence.

Responsibilities

  • Assess individuals' needs, design appropriate activities, and evaluate progress.
  • Customise interventions for individuals with diverse needs and abilities.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and risk management in therapeutic environments.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Desirable Skills

  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine interest in helping individuals improve their well-being.
