Complex Care Nurse
Job description
This service provides nursing care to a growing number of clients with complex health care needs in the community. Procedures will include suctioning, ventilation, tracheostomy care, Naso Gastric/Peg feeding and other procedures to maintain/improve health. The service will be community based to assess, plan and implement all appropriate interventions to deliver specialist nursing care in response to individualised assessed need. The postholder will be expected to carry out all care duties delegated from the Team Manager (Band 7 Nurse) and may ultimately be required to demonstrate procedures to and supervise other qualified/unqualified staff. Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care to persons in their own homes or other domiciliary settings using evidence based practice.
- Responsible for planning, assessing and evaluating individual programmes of nursing care and ensuring that patient care is carried out to an agreed standard.
- Work in partnership with other members of the Multidisciplinary Team.

Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Be currently registered as a Nurse on Part 1 of the NMC live register. (Adult or Learning Disability)
- Hold a current full driving licence which is valid for use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment. This criteria will be waived in the case of applicants whose disability prohibits driving but who have access to a form of transport approve
