Job description
The Health & Safety Advisor (Construction) will be part of a team that delivers a comprehensive Construction Health & Safety service providing advice, guidance and support to senior / line management and staff across the Northern Ireland Housing Executive (NIHE),
Responsibilities
- To fulfil the requirements of a Competent Person as required by the Management of Health & Safety Regulations (NI) 2000 in relation to the control of contractors and construction activities etc.
- To assist in the development, implementation and operation of policies, procedures, information and guidance in relation to the Construction Health and Safety function.
- To produce reports, collation and analysis of statistical data and information, and prepare and communicate associated findings and recommendations.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Possess a degree or equivalent level qualification (Level 6) or higher qualification in Occupational Health and Safety and can demonstrate 2 years relevant experience in Construction Health & Safety.
- Hold membership of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) at either Technical or Certified level.
