Job description

The Technical Officer plays an integral role within a local grants area office in the delivery of technical aspects of applications for a suite of funding schemes across the private housing sector. These schemes are aimed at improving housing standards, improving energy efficiency and reducing fuel poverty and enabling persons with a disability to live as independently as possible and to remain in their own home.

Responsibilities

• To consider the most satisfactory course of action in determining the type of grant and works to be carried out for Home Improvement and Energy Efficiency grants.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Possess a degree or an equivalent level qualification (Level 6) in Building Studies or other relevant construction related subject and can demonstrate 1 years relevant experience.
