The Opportunity You will be working with a team of Engineers to support the design and manufacture of ceramic capacitors, for use in high reliability applications such as global automotive, aerospace and space industries. The focus of the role is to drive efficiency, reliability, and performance. It is a hands-on role where you’ll combine engineering expertise with a passion for continuous improvement to deliver measurable results. You will also be collaborating with our Development team on the design, trial and scale up of new processes and products. This is an exciting time to join our team as we look to redefine and modernise our processes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and collaborate in troubleshooting and optimising the production process to reduce scrap, improve quality and increase production efficiency.
  • Drive data-driven initiatives to optimise process and deliver continuous improvement and cost saving projects.
  • Collaborate with sister plants in US and Asia, sharing best in class technologies.
  • Researching and developing new methods, ideas and materials to future proof our process.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Honours Degree / Bachelor’s (minimum 2.2) in a relevant science or engineering related discipline i.e. Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing /Industrial Engineering, Engineering Management, Materials Science, Chemistry, etc.
  • A minimum of 1 year’s process engineering and/or process control experience .Work experience linked to your degree will be considered.
  • Have strong problem-solving capability, sound understanding of process engineering principles, and proven experience or knowledge of lean tools (Six Sigma, DMAIC, 5S,) and can think outside the box.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
