International Manager
Job description
The postholder will lead the development and implementation of the College's international strategy, with a focus on student recruitment, fostering global partnerships, and enhancing the international student experience in accordance with College targets and objectives. The postholder will also have oversight and management of the international office. The International office will be responsible for all incoming and outgoing mobilities (ROI/European & International) - UKVI compliance and sponsorship licencing to ensure the College meets tier four licence regulations. Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver international student recruitment plans and marketing activities in target global markets to meet or exceed enrolment targets.
- Liaise closely with the College admissions team to ensure a smooth application process for international students, from initial enquiry to enrolment.
- Identify, establish, and manage effective relationships and agreements with international partners, including other educational institutions, government bodies, and sponsor networks.
- Oversee the coordination and delivery of student and staff mobility/exchange programmes (e.g., Turing Scheme, Erasmus, Department of Further & Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science).
- Ensure all international activities, including admissions processes, agent management, and student welfare, comply with UK Home Office (UKVI) regulations and other relevant legislation.
- Manage, maintain, and ensure full compliance with the college's UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) Student Route sponsor licence obligations, in line with Home Office guidance.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Have at least a Level 6 qualification in any discipline.
- Have at least 2 years experience to include recruiting international students and increasing international enrolments, project management with defined deadlines, and working across various teams and effectively managing resources.
- Have experience of budget management and data analysis for reporting and strategy development.
Desirable Skills
- Have experience working in an international environment, demonstrating strong intercultural competence.
- Have experience identifying, developing and managing international partnerships and mobility programmes.
