Job description

As Bank Senior Carer, you will be maintaining effective record-keeping, administering medication, leading and supporting the team of dedicated staff in providing person-centred care and support services to our residents. You’ll drive performance through supervision and mentoring of staff, delivering induction and coaching and you will be a strong role model, with residents’ needs, dignity and respect at the heart of the role.

Responsibilities

To motivate all staff within the homes and lead by example.
To coach and support Care and Domestic staff, supervise their day-to-day work and manage their work performance by way of regular one to one meetings.
Ensure the wellbeing and safety of all residents within the home, whilst on shift, ensuring that care is delivered as per the care plan.
Develop and update individual care/support plans in line with guidance and standards
Undertake the duties of a carer as and when required.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care and a minimum of two years’ experience working in a care/support environment OR five years’ experience, without an NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care.
Be registered, or be prepared to register, with the NI Social Care Council at the time of taking up an offer of employment.
Have sound computer/IT skills including knowledge of email and word processing.
Clear and concise written skills.
