Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Vehicle Fitter to join our WAV (wheelchair accessible vehicle) team in Armag. This role is vital in helping us deliver high-quality adapted vehicles that meet our clients' needs.
Responsibilities
- Fit vehicle conversions and adaptations according to company standards and client specifications.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during installation and modification processes.
- Fit and wire other accessories including electric reels, winches, side steps
- Welding on components during vehicle conversion.
- Work independently to ensure timely completion of projects, liaising with Production Manager and team members when required.
- Maintain accurate records (timesheets) of work performed and parts used.
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Previous demonstrable experience in a similar position.
- Experience with hand tools and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
- Ability to work independently, as well as successfully within a team.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Prior experience in vehicle modification or conversion is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Commitment to safety procedures at all times.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
