Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Vehicle Fitter to join our WAV (wheelchair accessible vehicle) team in Armag. This role is vital in helping us deliver high-quality adapted vehicles that meet our clients' needs.

Responsibilities

• Fit vehicle conversions and adaptations according to company standards and client specifications.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during installation and modification processes.
• Fit and wire other accessories including electric reels, winches, side steps
• Welding on components during vehicle conversion.
• Work independently to ensure timely completion of projects, liaising with Production Manager and team members when required.
• Maintain accurate records (timesheets) of work performed and parts used.
• Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Previous demonstrable experience in a similar position.
• Experience with hand tools and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
• Ability to work independently, as well as successfully within a team.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Prior experience in vehicle modification or conversion is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Commitment to safety procedures at all times.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
