Senior Finance Officer
Job description
Choice is seeking a Senior Finance Officer to support the management accounting team by preparing journals, allocating service charge expenditure, and completing annual service charge calculations. The role manages tenant and leaseholder queries, assists with budgeting, and presents service charge information as needed. The SFO will ensure accurate financial reporting across schemes and provide timely information to support organisational decision-making. Responsibilities
- Assist in Journal Preparation for monthly management accounts for review by HOMAC.
- Allocate and review tenant service charge expenditure per scheme making adjustments as required.
- Answer tenant service charge queries in a timely manner.
- Calculate Commercial and Leaseholder service charge on annual basis. Make leaseholders aware of service charge costs and answer any ad-hoc queries.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- 3rd Level Accountancy qualification AND 3 years’ experience working in a Finance Department.
- Or 5 years’ relevant experience in a Finance department.
Desirable Skills
- Part way through professional accountancy qualification with CIMA, ACCA, CIPFA or CAI
