About NIBBLE and GNAW: Nibble and Gnaw pack and sell feed products for small animals on Amazon and www.nibbleandgnaw.com. The company grades and packs the highest quality hay for small animals using semi-automated production equipment. We also manufacture herbal animal supplements and manage the fulfilment of all products for a sister company. This role is based in a busy production and manufacturing environment. PPE equipment and all training will be provided by the company. PERKS card provided to all staff. Car Parking on site. After interview if you successfully progress to the next stage there will be a trial period of 3 hours before appointing a new member to the team. Summary of Main Tasks and Responsibilities: Production duties including but not limited to Inspecting and grading hay, removing non-hay material, and ensuring dust free hay passes through the grading conveyor. Operating baling equipment Operating herb mixing and weighing equipment Bagging, boxing and labelling finished products. Stacking boxes on pallets, shrink wrap, label and prepare for collection by carriers. Ability to carry/lift heavy packages up to 30kg. Quality assurance at all stages of production Work in a TEAM environment focusing on continuous improvement. General housekeeping duties including removal of waste and maintaining all work areas within the warehouse in compliance with H&S Follow all Health & Safety rules and regulations in compliance with the company standards and procedures - PPE must be worn at all times. Complete timesheets and relevant paperwork in accordance with company procedures. Assist with stock control, dispatch and other miscellaneous production/warehouse/fulfilment requirements and any other required duties at the request of management. NOTE: Previous warehouse/production experience is desirable but not essential as training will be provided. The advertised rate of £14.21 per hour relates to persons over the age of 21. For persons under the age of 21 pay rates will be above the national minimum wage as agreed individually

Responsibilities

  • Operating baling equipment, inspecting, grading hay as it passes through the grading conveyor.
  • Lifting upto 30 kg packing.
  • Labelling, stacking boxes.
  • Assist with stock control, dispatch and any other duties required.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Ability to work alone and part of a team.
  • Numeracy, good verbal & written communication.
  • Good time keeping skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 30kg packaging.
