Support Worker
Job description
The Support Worker is part of the Croft Communities team and the main purpose of their role is to provide care and support to service users with a learning disability to enable them to live happy and fulfilled lives reaching their full potential within their local community. Responsibilities
- Assist service users with activities of daily living and facilitate inclusion of service users in a broad range of activities.
- Support service users with identified personal care and support needs.
- Support Workers are required to work flexibly and be available to work unsociable hours and public holidays on a rotational basis.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- A minimum of 6 months caring experience (paid employment or personal caring responsibilities).
- Interest in working with people in a care environment.
- Effective verbal and written communication to include numeracy skills.
- Awareness of the needs of people with learning and physical disabilities.
