Events Catering Assistant
Job description
THE EMPLOYER IS: FALLS COMMUNITY COUNCIL As an Event Catering Assistant you will serve food and drinks to event attendees, as well as various other tasks related to food preparation and hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitising of all tableware before catering events.
- Loading and unloading food, tableware and catering supplies on and of catering vehicles.
- Food and drinks service.
- Assist with the preparation of dining areas.
- Disposal of food waste in line with working protocols.
- At the end of events: removing dishes and loading dish washers.
- Emptying dish washers and storing dishes and cutlery in designated cupboards and drawers.
- Cleaning of kitchen appliances.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Open to training progression both in house on off site.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Demonstrate a willingness to take instruction.
- Communicate clearly.
- Engage in work place mentoring.
- Maintain a clean working environment.
Desirable Skills
- Previous experience as a catering assistant or similar position.
- Hospitality skills.

The Employer is: FALLS COMMUNITY COUNCIL - AMPS STUDIO JobStart Opportunity - Working Hours Information. Standard Hours: up to 25 hours per week. Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach. Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability.
