Job description

The post holder will assist the Clinical Services Manager in the development, co-ordination and delivery of high quality services. The post holder will liaise closely with members of the multi-disciplinary team to improve channels of communication, allow maximum utilisation of resources, and promote continuity and co-ordination of the services within their sphere of responsibility. Responsibilities

  • He/She will lead on specific components of strategic planning.
  • He/She will provide clear leadership and oversee the co-ordination of all staff within their sphere of control.
  • The post holder will have professional nursing responsibility within their service.
  • Each post holder will be expected to deliver on elements of the strategic focus.
  • The post is an exciting, dynamic and evolving role and as services continue to reform and modernise is likely to change. Therefore the successful candidate will need to be flexible and willing to be an agent of change.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Be on the NMC Live register and have worked 3 years at Band 7.
  • Demonstrate evidence of post registration / post graduate study in Cardiology or Rheumatology.
  • Delivered against performance management programmes for a minimum of 2 years meeting a full range of targets and making significant improvements.
  • Worked with a diverse range of stakeholders, to achieve successful outcomes for a minimum of 2 years.
  • Successfully demonstrated people management, governance, leadership and organisational skills for a minimum of 2 years
  • Hold a current full driving licence which is valid for use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment.
  • This criteria will be waived in the case of applicants whose disability prohibits driving but who have access to a form of transport approved by the Trust which will permit them to carry out the duties of the post
  • Willingness to undertake 7-day working

Further Information

Salary: £53,755 to £60,504 per annum pro rata
