Job description
THE EMPLOYER IS: MR TUNI As our in-house Videographer, you will be the visual storyteller of our gym community. You'll work closely with our marketing team to conceptualize, shoot, and edit compelling video content that engages our members and attracts new ones. You will be responsible for capturing the energy and spirit of our gym, from high-tempo fitness classes to inspiring member stories and promotional content for our digital platforms. The ideal candidate has a passion for fitness and a keen eye for capturing real-life action in a busy environment.
Responsibilities
- Content Creation: Plan, film, and edit high-quality video content for use on social media (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube), our website, and in-gym digital screens.
- Diverse Projects: Produce a wide range of content, including promotional videos, workout routines, interviews with trainers and members, event coverage, and facility tours.
- Pre-Production: Collaborate with the marketing team to brainstorm ideas, develop storyboards, and plan shoot schedules within the gym's operating hours.
- Production: Operate professional camera, lighting, and audio equipment to capture crisp, well-lit, and clear footage and sound in various gym settings (weights area, studio, etc).
- Post-Production: Edit raw footage using industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) to create polished final products, including adding music, graphics, and colour grading.
- Brand Alignment: Ensure all video content aligns with our brand guidelines and messaging, maintaining a consistent and professional visual identity.
- Equipment Management: Manage, maintain, and organize all video production equipment, recommending upgrades as needed.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Experience: Proven experience as a videographer, ideally with a strong portfolio showcasing action-oriented content (fitness or sports background is a plus).
- Technical Proficiency: Expertise in operating various video cameras, lighting setups, and audio recording equipment.
- Editing Expertise: In-depth knowledge of video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
- Creativity: A creative eye for composition and visual storytelling, with the ability to turn concepts into engaging narratives.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with gym members, staff, and the marketing team.
- Adaptability: Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, often with tight deadlines.
Desirable Skills
- Photography Skills: The ability to take high-quality still photographs is a significant bonus, allowing the candidate to cover both video and photo needs for the gym's social media and website without needing a separate photographer.
- Passion for Fitness/Gym Culture: While not mandatory, a genuine interest in health and fitness helps the videographer authentically capture the gym environment and community spirit, understanding what resonates with the target audience.

The Employer is: MR TUNI JobStart Opportunity - Working Hours Information. Standard Hours: up to 25 hours per week. Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach. Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability. This should be discussed directly with the employer before starting employment.
