Clinical Lead
Job description
To provide and lead on the delivery of evidence based nursing care to children in the community by providing clinical assessment, care planning, care delivery, care evaluation and clinical advice in accordance with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct. Actively engage complex information in multidisciplinary activities such as discharge planning and case conferences and maintain liaison with clients, carers and members of the multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities
- Ensure workload is prioritised and allocated on an equitable basis within the community children’s nursing team.
- Co-ordinate community children’s nursing caseloads effectively and identify to line manager when vacancies impact on service delivery.
- Participate in the development of standards, policies, procedures and protocols of nursing care and ensure their implementation in his/her area of responsibility.
- To act in accordance with the NMC code of Professional Conduct and ensure other nursing staff do likewise in the pursuit of their duties.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Registered on Live NMC register Part 1 (Children)
- Qualification in Community Children’s Nursing (CCN)
- Worked for a minimum of 3 years at Band 5 managing a community children’s nursing caseload
- Hold a current full driving licence which is valid for use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment.
- This criteria will be waived in the case of applicants whose disability prohibits driving but who have access to a form of transport approved by the Trust which will permit them to carry out the duties of the post.

Salary: £46,148 to £52,809 per annum pro rata
