Job description

Support the Head of Parks & Parks & Cemeteries and Development Manager in the management and delivery of small and medium capital and revenue projects and client-side responsibilities for large strategic capital schemes. Ensuring alignment with strategic priorities, compliance with governance standards, and effective stakeholder engagement. Responsibility for developing, reviewing and promoting the service and support the Manager in development and implementation of Service Business Plans and contribute to the development of infrastructure, community assets, and service improvements that enhance the quality of life for all.

Responsibilities

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Level 5 qualification or above in a relevant discipline such Business Studies, Project Management or similar.
  • PRINCE2 Practitioner Level or similar Project Managers qualification.
  • Applicants must be able to demonstrate, by providing personal and specific examples, that they have two years’ experience in: Delivery of capital projects within programme and budget.
  • Applicants must be able to demonstrate, by providing personal and specific examples, that they have two years’ experience in: Management of a multi-disciplinary team, associated resources and internal / external stakeholder expectations.
  • Applicants must be able to demonstrate, by providing personal and specific examples, that they have two years’ experience in: Delivering successful outcomes and continuous improvement.
  • Applicants must be able to demonstrate, by providing personal and specific examples, that they have two years’ experience in: Effective management of a budget and identifying efficiency savings.
  • Applicants must be able to demonstrate, by providing personal and specific examples, that they have two years’ experience in: Writing and presenting reports to management.
  • A full current driving licence valid in the UK (minimum Category B) with access to a form of transport that will allow fulfilment of the duties of the post or have access to a suitable form of transport...

Ability to work outside normal office hours including evenings and weekends, as required.
