Community Outreach & Partnership Officer
Job description
THE EMPLOYER IS: GLOWGROUP IRELAND LTD External-facing role responsible for expanding our client base and securing new business partnerships across Northern Ireland. The post-holder will engage proactively with key institutions such as schools, libraries, and local councils, focusing on lead gathering, delivering presentations, and negotiating contracts to drive business growth for our after-school sessions, workshops, and holiday camps.
Responsibilities
- Identify and research potential clients and key decision-makers within schools, local councils, libraries, and other community groups.
- Conduct targeted outreach, including cold calling, emailing, and scheduled meetings, to generate new leads and partnership opportunities.
- Deliver persuasive presentations and proposals to key stakeholders to promote and secure new business contracts.
- Manage and track the sales pipeline, from initial contact through to securing new signed agreements.
- Represent the company professionally at external events, conferences, and networking functions to promote services.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Excellent interpersonal and persuasive communication skills (written and verbal) necessary for pitching and closing deals.
- Confidence in making cold calls and meeting new people in a professional environment.
- Strong organizational skills for managing a pipeline of leads, client data, and follow-up schedules.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and goal-oriented approach to work and sales targets.
- Ability to work independently and manage own schedule effectively.
Desirable Skills
- A full, clean driving license and access to a vehicle for client visits.
- Experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce).
- Previous experience in a sales, fundraising, or business development role.
- Experience with social media marketing (LinkedIn, etc.) for lead generation.
