Educational Program Developer


Job description

THE EMPLOYER IS: GLOWGROUP IRELAND LTD A creative and analytical role focused on designing, refining, and innovating the content delivered through our existing after-school programs, in school workshops, and school holiday camps. The post-holder will be responsible for ensuring our educational materials are engaging, high-quality, and align with specific learning objectives, helping to shape the future and quality of our educational offerings across all our platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Research, design, and develop new educational programs, workshops, and camp content based on identified needs and educational trends.
  • Review and update existing after-school, in-school, and holiday camp curricula for continuous improvement, relevance, and alignment with modern teaching practices.
  • Test and pilot new program activities internally and externally to ensure content effectiveness and learning outcomes.
  • Create detailed supporting materials (e.g. lesson plans, instructional guides) for program delivery staff.
  • Maintain an organized library of content, ensuring all program materials are consistent and up-to-date.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Strong creative and analytical problem-solving skills, particularly in content design.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for creating clear and engaging educational materials.
  • Proven ability to research, organize, and structure complex information into a coherent curriculum format.
  • High level of attention to detail and ability to work independently to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency with standard office and presentation software (e.g., Microsoft Office/Google Workspace).

Desirable Skills

  • Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational or recreational setting.
  • Basic graphic design skills (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) to make materials visually appealing.
  • Knowledge of the Northern Ireland school curriculum.
  • Experience in evaluating or auditing educational programs.
