Operations Manager
Job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen as a result of continued growth across Positive Futures, creating the need to expand our NI Operations Team. The successful candidate will join an established team that provides support to a wide range of individuals, including both adults and children, across services such as supported living, peripatetic support, in-reach, and community-based support. The role will involve overseeing services in Enniskillen, Omagh, and Derry/Londonderry. You will play a key role in facilitating complex transitions from long-stay hospitals and will be an active contributor to driving further growth. In this role, you will also have the support of a part-time personal secretary to assist with administrative and organisational tasks. At Positive Futures, we support people with learning disabilities, acquired brain injuries, and autism, helping them live fulfilling and independent lives. As an Operations Manager, you’ll be at the heart of this mission, supporting people to live fulfilling, independent lives.

Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- A management qualification at a minimum of level 5, for example, QCF Level 5 diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care Services (Adults’ Management) Wales and Northern Ireland and be registered, or be eligible for registration on appointment,
- On the appropriate part of the NISCC register, without condition AND have a minimum of 6 years’ experience in a health and social care setting. OR
- A professional social work qualification and be registered, or be eligible for registration on appointment, on the appropriate part of the Northern Ireland Social Care Council (NISCC) register without condition
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a health and social care setting. OR
- Be a first level registered nurse on an appropriate part of the Nursing and Midwifery Council AND have a minimum of 4 years’ experience in a health and social care setting. OR
- Be an allied health professional registered with the Health Professions Council AND have a minimum of 4 years’ experience in a health and social care setting. AND
- At least 3 years’ relevant experience in a service / operational management capacity in a health and social care setting, including the supervision of staff and financial / resource oversight.
- Full driving licence and access to a car which is insured for business use. Consideration will be given to those applicants unable to drive due to a disability.
Desirable Skills
- Experience supporting people (children and/or adults) with a learning/intellectual disability and/or acquired brain injury and/or autism.
- Recent experience in managing a regulated service.
- Experience of supporting teams to deliver high quality support to people with an offending history.
