This key role will contribute to the delivery of vital employment and skills services that make a real difference to the communities we serve. Disability Action’s Employment & Skills Services provide expert advice and support, to help people with disabilities complete skills training and gain suitable paid work. The successful candidate will report directly to an Employment & Skills Manager and play an integral role in helping to shape the future of our Employment & Skills Services. Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and delivery of quality and compliance activities for Employment & Skills (E&S) programmes and services, including Skills for Life and Work, Disability Specialist Support, Workable NI, Empower, Employment Support, and others.
  • Assist in ensuring adherence to company processes, protocols, funding parameters, funder and organisation quality measures.
  • Support internal compliance checks and quality reviews, including participant records, case files, and service delivery documentation.
  • Collect, organise, and maintain data to support accurate and timely performance monitoring and reporting.
  • Prepare and complete templates, documentation and reports, for delivery teams and managers, ensuring information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Maintain internal tracking tools, logs, and records to support effective monitoring and recording of quality assurance activity.
  • Support the identification of risks or potential non-compliance issues and escalate to senior colleagues.
  • Assist in implementing programme and service improvements across teams, as part of continuous improvement cycles.
  • Support the development, updating, and distribution of quality and compliance policies, procedures, and guidance documents.
  • Work collaboratively with others to support an effective continuous improvement focus across employment and skills services.
  • Attend and take notes in team meetings, helping to embed learning and development activities arising from quality and compliance audit findings.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports for funders, partners, and management on quality performance and audit outcomes.
  • Provide documentation and evidence for internal and external inspections or audits as required.
  • Adhere to corporate and quality standards, GDPR, and data protection policies at all times.
  • Ensure professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
  • Perform any additional duties necessary to meet the requirements of the position.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Qualifications in English and Maths and/or at least one year’s relevant work experience gained through employment, volunteering, or education in a similar or relatable role.
  • Good attention to detail with a methodical and structured approach to record keeping and accuracy.
  • Good written communication skills, including the ability to present information clearly and constructively.
  • Experience of IT systems, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Share Point, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others.
  • Evidence of effective problem-solving and solutions focus.

Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge or understanding of quality and compliance principles and processes.
  • Knowledge and/or experience of the barriers that face people with disabilities or long-term health conditions to achieve employment and/or skills goals.
