Job description
THE EMPLOYER IS: FUNKI DRINKS LTD This is an entry-level role to support the growth of Fibre UP, a fast-moving healthy soft drinks start-up in Northern Ireland. The role will help expand distribution, support retailers and assist with day-to-day commercial activity. Typical tasks may include visiting stockists, speaking with retailers, restocking or merchandising products, collecting feedback from stores, supporting sampling events and helping the team with basic admin or operational tasks. It is a hands-on position suited to someone who is motivated, organised and eager to learn how a challenger drinks brand grows from the ground up.
Responsibilities
- Research and build a list of potential stockists such as local shops, cafes, farm shops and gyms.
- Contact new trade leads by email, phone and social media to introduce the drinks brand.
- Support the setup of new trade accounts including pricing, samples and first order processing.
- Visit local retailers to check stock, build relationships and set up simple point of sale displays.
- Support commercial admin such as updating price lists, product data sheets and account records.
- Prepare and send trade sample boxes and marketing materials.
- Help plan route to market including working with wholesalers and distributors.
- Assist with small field marketing activity such as in-store tastings and events.
- Capture customer feedback to share with the team for continuous improvement.
- Monitor competitor products and retail pricing in the market.
- Keep accurate records of outreach and sales activity using simple CRM tools.
- Support weekly sales reporting and commercial planning meetings.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Be confident communicating with people in person, by phone and email.
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced small business environment.
- Be proactive and willing to take responsibility for tasks.
- Have good organisation and time management skills.
- Be comfortable using basic computer tools like email, spreadsheets and online forms.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Access to a vehicle for work-related travel (mileage reimbursed).
Desirable Skills
- Experience in sales, field marketing or customer-facing roles.
- Knowledge of FMCG or the food and drink sector.
- Confidence presenting products to customers or small groups.
- Strong organisation and route-planning skills.
- Experience using CRM systems or basic reporting tools.
- Familiarity with social media platforms for brand promotion.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Interest in health, nutrition or wellness.
- Comfortable representing a brand at events or sampling activations.
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.
- Have an interest in brands, retail or the drinks industry.
