Job description

We require a Security Officer for our client, one of the UK's leading food producer and supplier of premium, fresh and added-value food products, based in Cullybackey. Control all access to the site. Please see employer website for full job details & person specification.

Responsibilities

• Control all access to the site
• Accurately complete vehicle check in/out sheets
• Ensure all visitors read, understand and comply with the visitor’s policy
• Ask visitors to produce photographic identification or seek confirmation from the visitor’s host
• Ensure all visitors accurately complete the medical questionnaire where necessary
• Issue visitors with a visitor pass and a visitor’s high visibility vest
• Ensure all passes and high visibility vests are returned to security hut before visitors leave the site
• Carry out random stop and search procedure as and when required
• Be familiar with the incident management plan, burglar and lockdown plan
• Carry out perimeter checks and any other additional tasks

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience working within a security role, preferably within a manufacturing environment
• Computer literate
• The ability to remain professional in potentially high pressured and difficult situations
• Strong Influencing skills
• A sound understanding of security principles
• Excellent communication skills both written and oral

Further Information
