Assistant Baker
Job description
THE EMPLOYER IS: TWEEDIE PIES HOME BAKERY Tweedie Pies Bakery are seeking a motivated assistant baker to assist in the preparation and baking of various bakery items, including bread, pastries, and cakes. The role involves following recipes to ensure product consistency, maintaining a clean and organised kitchen, and assisting with the decoration and presentation of baked goods. Working closely with the head baker and the team, you will help meet production goals while upholding food safety standards and delivering high-quality products to our customers.
Responsibilities
- Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency and quality of products.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene practices at all times.
- Support the head baker in managing inventory levels of ingredients and supplies.
- Assist with the decoration and presentation of baked goods for display.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and customer demands.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge.
- An effective communicator who can work well as part of a team in fast-paced environment.
- Ability to use your own initiative, be pro-active and adaptable to change and production demands.
- Ensuring that high-quality products are prepared and presented to our customers.
