Administrative Assistant
Job description
THE EMPLOYER IS: OH YEAH MUSIC CENTRE To assist in the day-to-day administration and running of the Oh Yeah Music Centre venue, building and projects.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Operations Director and team, providing assistance to other departments when required. Ensuring that the administrative procedures are consistent and up to date.
- Maintain and update filing systems, databases and records (digital and paper).
- Draft and distribute correspondence, reports, and other documentation as required.
- Assist in scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and recording minutes.
- Support with financial administration such as invoicing, petty cash, and expense tracking.
- Handle incoming and outgoing post and emails. Liaise with suppliers and service providers to ensure smooth operational delivery.
- Support room bookings, event logistics, and scheduling as required.
- Maintain office stock levels and order supplies when necessary.
- Support the implementation of policies including Health & Safety and Equal Opportunities.
- Attend staff meetings and provide regular updates to the Operations Director. Producing weekly progress reports for management review.
- Any other duties the Operations Director may deem necessary and within reason.
- Keep work areas tidy, safe and report any hazards, accidents or losses to management.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Grades A-C in Mathematics and English Language.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer literacy.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing priorities,
- A professional attitude in all interactions,

The Employer is: OH YEAH MUSIC CENTRE JobStart Opportunity - Working Hours Information. Standard Hours: up to 25 hours per week. Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach. Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability.
