Job description
THE EMPLOYER IS: TIDES TRAINING & CONSULTANCY The Good Relations Trainee will support the TIDES Trainer/Mediator and the wider team in the development and delivery of Good Relations training programmes and provide peer support to participants. TIDES program targets people who are excluded from or at a disadvantage in the labour market, including individuals and community groups. This Trainee position is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking to gain workplace skills to progress in Good Relations /Peacebuilding Practitioner. Due to nature of the work of TIDES Training, trainees will become aware of information that will be sensitive and/or confidential. It is crucial that all such information is maintained in strictest confidence.
Responsibilities
- To assist the Trainer/Mediator staff to co-design training materials and related activities to develop participants in the key outcome areas of Good Relations, Citizenship.
- To assist staff members co-facilitate training workshops and residentials.
- Help raise the profile amongst target group, attend good relations events and seminars and support the engagement of participants in such events.
- Provide related support to the Trainer/Mediator.
- Help capture and process programme feedback to inform practice.
- Any other duties as required.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Good communication skills.
- Be able to participate in cross-community and/or cross-border programmes.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office to support the production of admin information.
- Ability to be able to work well in a team while being able to work independently.
- Knowledge of websites and social media.
- Be available for evening and weekend work as required.
Desirable Skills
- Previous experience of volunteering.
