THE EMPLOYER IS: THE ANTRIM, DOWN AND ARMAGH (TADA) RURAL SUPPORT NETWORK As an Administration and Community Support Assistant, you will be acting as the first point of contact for visitors in person and over the phone. Your tasks will include welcoming visitors and answering telephone calls. The role also involves some administration tasks such as mail handling and filing and supporting our current staff. TADA Rural Support Network is a voluntary community group that provides tailored support to identify and meet the needs of local rural community groups. We work in partnership and have a good, positive relationship with a wide range of statutory and voluntary agencies, and as such, can offer better access to services and improve the quality of life for rural people. We provide training for group development, and organise networking events to bring communities together to support rural regeneration. TADA is one of seven Rural Support Network providers in Northern Ireland awarded the DAERA Rural Community Development Support Scheme, contracted to provide local community development support and an advice service.

Responsibilities

  • Acting as the first point of contact in an office, including welcoming community groups and clients.
  • Answering the phone and passing messages to other staff members or making appointments for groups/clients to come into the office.
  • Making contact with other community groups via telephone and email.
  • Paper management including photocopying.
  • Managing files digitally and physically.
  • Assisting current staff as and when required with administrative tasks.
  • Filing and collating office paperwork and important documents into their respective filing cabinets and storage boxes.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • 4 GCSES or equivalent, including Maths and English.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience in a Front of House role.
  • Proficient in typing and word processing.
