Job description

This post will be a hybrid model to include deputising for the ward manager within ward 25 outpatient department and clinical sessions within dermatology to include minor ops, biopsies clinics etc as the needs of the service require.

Responsibilities

• The post holder will focus and lead under the direction of the Ward Sister / Charge Nurse on the following key areas, within the organisation’s governance framework:
• Promote and monitor safe and effective practice.
• Provide specialist advice based on acquired knowledge and skills to improve and lead on patient / client care and develop the nursing team.
• Provide effective leadership and management.
• Contribute to the delivery of the organisation’s objectives.
• Adhere to Trust values.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Registered Nurse on Part 1 (Adult) of the live NMC Register.
• Have three years’ post-registration experience.

Desirable Skills

• Previous experience of working within an Out Patient setting and a willingness to undertake the biopsy training course to assist in the nurse-led dermatology clinics.

Location: Ulster Hospital, Main Building Salary: £37,338 to £44,962 per annum pro rata
