Job description
The post holder will provide clinical leadership and support to a mixed skill Acute Nursing Team across the Neonatal service ensuring a high-quality service is provided to neonates and their families in line with clinical governance. The Post holder will work effectively and collaboratively as part of a multi-professional team. The post holder is accountable for their ward/department and will: promote and monitor safe and effective practice. enhance the patient/client experience. provide effective leadership and management. contribute to the delivery of the organisation’s objectives. Engage with primary and secondary health care teams and external agencies. The efficient deployment and supervision of staff on a 24-hour basis. All nursing staff and health care support workers, have appropriate training and education to effectively carry out their responsibilities including maintaining skills required for level 1 & 2 babies. Copliance to Standards set by governing bodies. Adherence to Trust policies, procedures and governance arrangements Full engagement and participation in audits and research as required.

Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Registered Nurse (CHILD) or Registered Midwife (RM) on Part 1 or 2 of the live NMC Register
