Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Room Leader to take responsibility for a specific age group within the nursery. The successful candidate will lead the room team, ensure the delivery of high-quality care and education, and maintain a safe, stimulating environment for all children.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a room, plan and deliver play-based learning, supervise children during play and meals.
• Support development, maintain records, mentor staff, ensure a safe, stimulating environment, and follow safeguarding policies.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Level 3 Early Years qualification (or near completion). Previous experience in a childcare setting is essential.
• Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Desirable Skills

• Paediatric First Aid and Safeguarding training. Full UK driving licence.
