THE EMPLOYER IS: NI MENTAL HEALTH ARTS FESTIVAL This is an exciting opportunity to join a regional arts festival and support their year-round programme. The NI Mental Health Arts Festival began in 2013 with the aim of using art to challenge the stigma associated with mental health. Our last festival was extremely successful with over 70 events across Northern Ireland. This role will support the marketing of NIMHAF upcoming projects and the festival, you will also be responsible for supporting various NIMHAF events which include (but not limited to) exhibitions, workshops, performances, comedy nights, talks and tours. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to develop their knowledge and skills of working in the arts and mental health sector of Northern Ireland.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside the Creative Programmes Coordinator to develop a marketing strategy for NIMHAF and the 2026 festival.
- Create and schedule social media content across platforms.
- Maintain and update NIMHAF website.
- Write copy for NIMHAF newsletter, press releases, etc.
- Provide project assistance to NIMHAF events.
- Complete general administrative duties, e.g. replying to emails.
- Support the evaluations process of NIMHAF events/activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good understanding of social media and marketing.
- Confident in using digital softwares (e.g. Google Workspace, website maintenance, MailChimp, Canva.)
- Strong ability to work as a team and work on your own initiative.
Desirable Skills
- Knowledge of the arts in Belfast/Northern Ireland.
- Experience working in events/festivals.
