THE EMPLOYER IS: CLAN EVENTS Clan Events provides staff and volunteers for live events and festivals across Ireland. We are seeking an Administrative Support Assistant to join our Belfast office. This role will support our busy operations team with day-to-day administrative tasks, helping to coordinate event staffing, manage data, and assist with internal communication and scheduling. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop office and digital skills in a creative, fast-paced industry. Participants will receive training and mentorship to build confidence and transferable skills suitable for any professional environment. This is a JobStart Scheme position designed for young people seeking to gain experience and develop workplace skills. Participants will receive structured supervision, internal training, and regular feedback meetings. Clan Events is a growing company based in Belfast, with opportunities to gain insight into event operations across Ireland. This role will provide valuable experience in administration, communication, and digital coordination within a fast-paced creative industry.

Responsibilities

  • Organise and maintain shared email inboxes and digital files.
  • Support staff recruitment and scheduling through Google Sheets and online forms.
  • Enter and manage staff data and event information accurately.
  • Communicate with event staff and partners by email and phone.
  • Assist with preparing internal office documentation.
  • Participate in team meetings and planning sessions.
  • Provide general administrative support to the office team as required.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Familiarity with Google Workspace (Drive, Gmail, Sheets, Docs, Forms).
  • Interest in the live events or hospitality industry.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Previous experience in an administrative role (paid or voluntary).

The Employer is: CLAN EVENTS JobStart Opportunity - Working Hours Information - Standard Hours: up to 25 hours per week. - Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach. - Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability.
